Mass of the Children

香港國際音樂學校二十週年感恩音樂會

不經不覺，今年已是香港國際音樂學校成立二十週年，回想慕慕也曾在此渡過多個寒暑，每星期有數個晚上於工餘時間在此進修，終於於2004年聖樂系文憑畢業，雖然已經畢了業，慕慕仍然繼續參加學校的合唱團，因為參與合唱團是一個最好的學習，對慕慕自己教會的詩班事奉有極大幫助，當然，另一個最主要的原因是慕慕實在太喜歡唱 choir 了。而今年的音樂會，指揮陳康博士選了約翰盧特 John Rutter 的「兒童彌撒曲」The Mass of Children 作為合唱團主要曲目，所以還會聯同國際基督教優質音樂中小學的 children choir 一同演出，並由何佩賢小姐（女高音）、林俊先生（男中音）擔任獨唱；John Rutter 更是慕慕最喜愛的合唱唱曲家，他的一首 The Lord Bless You and Keep You 更是校際音樂節之類的必唱曲目。而經過大半年的練習，距離音樂會的日子一天一天接近，慕慕懷著無比興奮的心情期待著這個音樂會。

音樂會終於昨天晚上順利舉行，除了 John Rutter 的 The Mass of Children 之外，還有張樂聖副校長的首演作品：「天使頌讚」，由女聲和 children choir 合唱；陳永生校長聯同結他老師及結他樂團團員演出由劉卓威先生改編的作品；郭子科先生指揮室樂團演出多首作品；吳亦兒小姐及吳婉嫻小姐演出鋼琴四手聯彈等等。




John Rutter 的這首 The Mass of Children 的曲式是普通的彌撒曲，就是五個以拉丁文唱出的固定內容樂章：
Kyrie
Gloria
Sanctus & Benedictus
Agnus Dei
Dona Nobis Pacem
當中加插 children choir 的部份和獨唱則配以英語的詩詞。



1st Movement - Kyrie
首先由天使般的聲音興奮地宣告一天的開始：
Awake my soul, and with the sun
Thy daily stage of duty run;
Shake off dull sloth and joyful rise
To pay thy morning sacrifice . . .
Kyrie eleision. Chirste eleison. Kyrie eleision. （求主垂憐！）

2nd Movement - Gloria
Gloria in excelsis Deo . . . （榮耀歸於天上至高真神！）
相信這是最受歡迎的一個樂章，亦是感情最澎拜的，不過慕慕最喜愛的卻是中段 soprano 和 baritone duet 的一段，有著好像走路般卻又很優美的伴奏。

3rd Movement - Sanctus & Benedictus
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth, Hosanna!
（聖潔天地萬軍之主上帝！和撒那！）
這是充滿詳和感覺的一段，如同搖籃曲給人的平安感覺。

4th Movement - Agnus Dei
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
（神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的主，憐憫憐恤我們！）

這是慕慕最喜歡的一個樂章，尤其是中段的一段很美的童聲：
Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee:
Gave thee life and bid thee feed,
By the stream and over the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing, woolly bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoyce:
Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee?

5th Movement - Finale (Dona Nobis Pacem)
首先是 baritone 開始的一段很美的獨唱（回應的祈禱）：
Lord, open thou mine eyes that I may see thee;
Lord, open thou my lips that I may praise thee;
Lord open thou my heart that I may love thee,
Serve thee with joy, fear none above thee. . .v Dona nobis pacem.（求賜我們平安。）

然後是 soprano 的一段獨唱（感恩的讚頌）：
Christ, be my guide today, my guide tomorrow;
Christ in my days of joy, my days of sorrow;
Christ in the silent hours when I lie sleeping,
Safe in his holy angels' keeping. . . .
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
（神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的主，憐憫憐恤我們！）

最後一段童聲和全部人的和應：
Glory to thee, my God, this night
For all the blessings of the light;
Keep me O keep me, King of kings
Beneath thy own almighty wings,
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow,
Praise him, all creatures here below,
Praise him above, ye heavanly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Dona nobis pacem.（求賜我們平安。）

今次因為有 children choir ，當中有兩位小朋友小晴和小庭是和慕慕同一教會的，此外室樂團中甚至有慕慕的 blog 友和大提琴老師，所以今次感覺特別開心呢！
